Adrian the Squirrel

The newest pattern it's about 4 1/2" in Simply Soft yarn. We finally got squirrels in our neighborhood a few years ago. My husband animal lover that he is started feeding 1 & we named him Rocky. We figured out the Rocky was a girl so we changed her name to Adrian. We have many squirrels we still feed but Adrian will always be our favorite.

A Couple of New Designs

Of course I had to make some Chihuahuas these are about 5" tall in worsted weight yarn. You could also make them in thread for itty bitty little chis.

Piggie Love Cupcakes Well who doesn't huh
These pigs are about 5 1/4 " in worsted weight. And they can also be made in thread. One of my testers made them in thread & they are adorable. The tiny little cupcake in thread could be used for a keychain or a cell phone charm.

Pullip

So I got my Pullip last year but I've not really played with her much. I crocheted her a couple of things but not really like I had planned to. I hadn't even given her a name until now but Lita keeps popping in my head so Lita she is. She's wearing barbie clothes which are a bit loose on her. I bought her tennies I can't wait to get those. I plan to make her some outfits to match her shoes. I'm posting her because something in the pic is a hint at my next pattern.

I really want it to be there for Easter. It will be taking a trip across the pond. This little doll is part of the package. I sure hope the little one likes the doll & everything.

Inspiration

You know sometimes I have ideas but once I start them I get bored and just can't get going. I just make little things look through my sketch pad look at pics of cute stuff and there it is an idea. I'm psyched about this one : ) I know I could sell more patterns if I were to just throw some little designs out more often but that's just not me. I want to be proud of what I make. Maybe someday that will pay off in sales & if not at least I didn't sell myself short.
I have this quote hanging on my bedroom wall " Keep a green tree in you heart & the singing bird will come"

The fact is I still get excited when I sell 1 pattern. I says to me that someone out there in this great big world loves what I've created so much they want to make one of their very own. That's my green tree & my singing bird : )

Speaking of birds is there anything sweeter than watching a little bird take a bath !! To appreciate the little bit of dirt or puddle of water so much : )

Sunday Stuff

I bought 2 kewpies the other day one large & one tiny. I took a little break from designing to dress the tiny one. For comparison the bunny is one of those itty bitty ones you find in craft stores.

Something Old Something New

I have no idea when I made this but I plan to recreate it. I'm sure I have the pattern written down somewhere but finding it now that's another story.

Ami Doll

I made the original in 2005 & Then last year a friend asked me to make her daughter a doll. So I redid the pattern & sent off the new doll to a little girl from Pucca to her biggest fan. I got a video showing a really happy little girl saying that Pucca sent her the doll because she was her biggest fan : ) Priceless !! This pattern is now in my shop. I bet she'd look great as a redhead too.

Cotton Candy Babies

Not a new design just a spin on the Fruity Babies. I've been asked a few times why are they naked ? Their nakedness adds to their charm & I just don't want to cover the belly button : )

I made this pattern in Memory of my Dear Mom who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1997. She was a truly beautiful woman with a warm heart & a heart of gold. I miss her everyday. I think she would’ve liked the flamingo it’s kinda silly & makes me smile just like she did.

Grammies Ear Flap Hat

My newest Design I made this pattern for my Dear Friend her Grandaughters call her Grammie & the stitch is a granny style. I have always made other things other than Ami I've just never really written up the patterns for them. One of my goals for this new year was to branch out & design things other than just Ami & to put some finished items in my shop. Both of these I have now done.

Back to the Fun

I hope everyone had Happy Holidays !! I took a little break from designing Ami and made some hats & other accessories. Now I'm back to making some creatures. I have 1 I need to finish up that I started before the holidays. I also have 1 I just started on. So soon I'll be bugging my testers. This year I would like to put some finished items in the store not only Ami but some other things as well. I also would like to sell some patterns for others items. I prefer to sell patterns it means I do not have to go to the Post Office which for some odd reason is not my favorite place. Cheers to a Wonderful New Year !!
